Peer-review Process
VALUE: Journal of Business Studies applies a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, fairness, and integrity in publication. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review stage.
Every submitted manuscript is first screened by the editorial team to assess its suitability with the journal’s aims and scope, compliance with technical requirements, and basic academic quality. Manuscripts that pass this initial screening are then sent to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area.
Reviewers are invited to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, clarity of presentation, methodological soundness, relevance to the field, academic contribution, and the appropriateness of its references. Based on the reviewers’ comments, the manuscript may be accepted, returned for revision, or rejected.
Authors whose manuscripts require revision are expected to submit a revised version along with a clear response to the reviewers’ comments. The revised manuscript may be sent back to the reviewers when necessary.
The final decision on each manuscript is made by the Editor based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the journal’s editorial standards. In general, the review process takes approximately four weeks to three months, depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.
